David Hautanen, Jr. '87, '90 MEd is the associate dean and director of undergraduate admissions and recruitment at Northeastern University. Previously, he served in a variety of positions in the Admissions Office at UMass Amherst. David served as the chair of professional development for the New England Association for College Admission Counseling and is a New England delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling. He was inducted into the Minuteman Marching Band Hall of Fame in 2002 and is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi.
David graduated from UMass Amherst in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in business and earned his master’s degree in education from the university in 1990. He resides in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
David is an appointed member of the Alumni Association Board and serves on the Nominating Committee. He is also a Life Member of the Alumni Association.
