Alumni Association Board of Directors
Jacqueline Carlson ’05 is an associate director of alumni relations at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
As a student she was a tutor in the Economics Departments and worked at the Mullins Center. She served as president of the Student Alumni Association and was a founding member of the Chancellor’s Personal Host program, acting as a student ambassador to the university for Chancellor John V. Lombardi.
Jackie was a recipient of the Alumni Merit Based Scholarship, which recognizes a Student Alumni Association member who demonstrates outstanding leadership in the Student Alumni Association and within the larger university community. During her senior year she was awarded the Senior Leadership Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and service to the UMass Amherst community.
Jackie graduated from UMass Amherst in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor is women's studies. She earned a master's degree in higher education administration from Suffolk University in 2008. Jackie resides in Long Beach, New York and is secretary to the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She serves on the Executive and Volunteer Advocacy and Public Affairs Committees, chairs the Nominating Committee, and has been a Sustaining Member of the Alumni Association since 2004.
