Joel Slovin ’79 is the vice president of Wealth Management with Smith Barney in Boston, Massachusetts. He is active in his community as a youth athletics coach and founding member of the Westboro Jewish Community Center. He is a part of a Legacy Family that includes his daughter and niece, who are both currently enrolled at UMass Amherst, his wife Susan, who graduated in 1980, and his aunt and uncle, who attended the university in the 1950s.
Joel graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He went on to earn his MBA from Babson College in 1981. He is Treasurer of the Board of Directors, chairs the Finance and Investment Committees, and serves on the Executive and Communications, Marketing and Membership Committees. He has been a member of the Alumni Association since 2006.
