joe piedrafiteJoseph Piedrafite ’06 is a consultant with Community Counseling Services (CCS) focusing on fundraising in the non-profit community. Currently, Joe is working on the capital campaign for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Prior to joining CCS, Joe was an Advancement Associate at the Museum of Science in Boston. Joe is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American Association of Museums. He has also volunteered with the Greater Boston Alumni Club for the past five years.

While a student at UMass Amherst, Joe was a member of the Minuteman Marching band as a tenor saxophone player, field and administrative staff person, and equipment manager for the Hoop Band. He was also a resident assistant in McNamara Hall, a columnist for the Daily Collegian, a founding father of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and was invited to the Order of Omega National Fraternal Honor Society. He received dual bachelorʼs degrees in Communication and English, as well as a minor in History and his Film Studies Certificate.

Joe is an elected member of the UMass Amherst Alumni Association Board and serves on the Communications & Marketing and Scholarship & Awards Committees, and the Signature Event Task Force. He has been a Sustaining Member of the Alumni Association since 2007.
