J. Matthew Thornton ’89 is director of operations for audit services U.S., LLC in New York City, responsible for day to day operations including ;audit preparation, client relations, billing and ;systems management and development. Prior to this role, Matt was a vice president/senior project manager at ACS and Mellon Financial where he was responsible for large scale project management.
Matt is the president of the NY Metro Alumni Club and has participated in the planning committee for the Alumni Association’s Career Connections program since its inception.
Matt graduated from UMass Amherst in 1989 with a bachelor of business administration in finance. He went on to earn his master’s in business administration from Fordham University in 1995. Matt is an elected member of the Board of Directors and serves on the Career Connections Committees. He has been a member of the Alumni Association since 2003.
