Alumni Association Board of Directors

Ron Grasso Ronald F. Grasso Jr. '92 is a first vice president - wealth management, in the Private Wealth Division of Smith Barney in Boston.  The practice focuses on the accumulation, preservation and distribution of assets for high net worth individuals and corporations.  Three years ago, Ron received his degree in financial planning (CFP®) and also earned the title of investment management specialist.  Ron personally oversees over 100 million dollars in client assets and has over 15 years experience.  Prior to his current position Ron worked in the Budget Bureau in the Middlesex District Attorney’s office for Scott Harshberger and then Tom Reilly.

As an active member of the community, Ron sits on several non-profit boards.  He is the president for Alex’s Team Foundation, which raises money for Pediatric Oncology research through Harvard University.  He is a board member for the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame located in Chicago, and he serves on the steering committee for the UMass Amherst Merrimack Valley Alumni Club.

Ron graduated from UMass Amherst in 1992.  While on campus he was very active within the fraternity system.  He became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity in 1988 and, as a brother, held numerous leadership positions, including his current position as Colony Advisor.  Ron, his wife Jen, and their newborn son Christian currently reside in Andover, Massachusetts. 

Ron is president of the Alumni Association. He has been a Life Member of the Alumni Association since 2002.
