Welcome All Alumni!
July has arrived, and with it our restructured alumni membership. As of July 1, all UMass Amherst alumni are members of the Alumni Association. In our continued effort to engage and include more alumni, the requirement of paying annual membership dues to receive alumni benefits has been discontinued. Please refer to our membership page to familiarize yourselves with the benefits currently available.
Welcome to the Alumni Association!
While we no longer require annual dues, we still rely on membership support to sustain the programs and services we continue to provide to alumni and students. Therefore we continue to provide additional membership tiers for alumni who have paid dues in the past and continue to invest in the Alumni Association. We welcome your support.
For all alumni that had paid any dues in the past, please note that your dues will be credited toward the higher-tiered Life or Legacy Memberships, both of which provide additional benefits. And as you continue to invest in your Alumni Association, all investments made, in any amount, at any time, will continue to be credited toward these higher membership tiers. Informational brochures are on their way to you that provide an outline of the restructure, the membership tiers and associated benefits, and an overview of the programs and services your membership investments enable us to provide. Additionally, all alumni having ever paid dues will be receiving an accounting of what they have invested in the Alumni Association to date.
For those of you heading to Michigan in September to cheer our Minutemen as they face the Wolverines, I look forward to seeing you. It will be an historic day, and the UMass Marching Band will add to the excitement. And while Homecoming weekend is far off in October, it isn’t too early to begin thinking about returning to campus and making plans, not only for the football tailgate and game, but consider touring the campus if you haven’t in a while. With all the new building construction and reconstruction, and the number of events we’re planning over the Homecoming Weekend, you may want to consider planning a nice long autumn weekend and check out how your alma mater is growing.
Enjoy summer!
